Cambria got a 100% elevation of their CGI visuals

Cambria only has one team member working on 3D lifestyle images of their quartz surfaces for marketing purposes, but short deadlines and high expectations caused a bottleneck. Therefore, Cambria sought an agency that shares their ambition, attention to detail, and passion for styling to elevate their visualizations.

 

Challenges

Cambria is ambitious and incredibly passionate about their products. That includes the visual representation of their stunning quartz surfaces. However, the company faced a hurdle because only one in-house 3D artist worked on all the visualizations, causing a bottleneck in both bandwidth and creative development of their visuals.
What we did

We work closely with Cambria's creative team to create beautiful lifestyle images and videos for all their marketing channels. Taking off some of the pressure on the internal team at Cambria frees up time and allows them to experiment with new techniques and elevate their brand even further.

The challenge

Difficult to meet short deadlines and create perfect visuals

Being an industry leader and an interior design trendsetter means that only the best is good enough for Cambria. It's a fundamental part of their culture that every detail is perfect—both in the quartz products beautifying luxury homes and commercial buildings across the US and in their visual materials used across marketing channels.

Cambria continuously introduces new products to the market, but having only one employee working with computer-generated lifestyle images caused a bottleneck. And that had multiple consequences for Cambria.

"We have one team member who works with creating CGIs for spaces with our products that we use for marketing purposes. But it was difficult for him to keep up with all our many different product releases that sometimes happen with a very short deadline," says Chris Probst, VP Marketing, Photography and Video at Cambria. He continues:

"There are many projects that our 3D artist has to push through the pipeline, but the large number of tasks also meant there was no chance of elevating the game for us. It's hard to experiment and try new things while we're just 'running the factory' as it is. So, we needed help with our bandwidth."

Cambria knew they had to find a way to assist their 3D artist to get more images and animations into the market. So, they started looking for an agency that could provide them with the expertise, quality, and attention to detail they demand for their lifestyle images.

"We received materials from five different agencies, but looking through them, only Cadesign matched our ambition level. We're very picky, take great pride in our work, and every detail must be perfect. Since we reached out to Cadesign everything has gone completely smoothly. We worked closely together to do a test to make sure the fit was right, and the result was flawless," says Chris Probst.

The results

100% elevation in the look and feel of CGI visuals

That first test became the beginning of a very positive and effective relationship.  

"Everyone is so excited about the images Cadesign creates for us. The onboarding process was short because they understood our product, vision, and what we wanted to accomplish right away, and this understanding shines through in every visual. I would say the results are a 100% elevation of the look and feel of our lifestyle images," says Chris Probst.

The 3D visuals we create for Cambria are used across printed materials and digital media, from social media to screens in partner showrooms. And the scenes we create are reused for short films that are perfect for social media.

"We use a lot of the visuals on social media, but we're visible everywhere, and our images are front and center of how we do business. So it needs to be completely perfect," says Chris Probst.

Cadesign team helps make grand visions into stunning visuals

Cambria is a trendsetter in the interior design and architecture industries. That means that not only do their lifestyle images need to be perfect down to the tiniest vein, they also need to reflect and shape the latest trends.

This is where their own Creative Director and Product Expert enter the scene.

"When they think the timing is perfect for a product launch, our Creative Director and Product Expert create a mood board that sets the vision of the room and implements the perfect props for the product. They then have a kickoff meeting with Cadesign, and that's it, really," says Chris Probst, and continues: 

"The team at Cadesign truly understands all aspects of creating the perfect scene, from their in-depth understanding of trends and design to building the scene, adding the lighting, and perfecting the visual with the final touches. We can hand everything over to Cadesign and expect perfect results without having to guide them in the right direction. It saves us a lot of time, and the process from start to finish is extremely effective. We couldn't be happier," says Chris Probst.
